A little about Dave...

Hammond Organist Dave Braham has recorded and toured with many jazz luminaries, including Houston Person and Etta Jones, Mark Murphy, Johnny Lytle and Lou Donaldson. Coming from the Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff and Groove Holmes school of jazz organ, Dave is a very gifted composer and arranger -- He is also a music educator, passing on his musical knowledge to a new generation.

Now based in the NJ//NY area, Dave originally hails from Pittsburgh, where he honed his skills at innumerable gigs and jam sessions. Inspired by the incredible lineage of organists, he began hauling a B-3 by age 15. For several years, he was on the road constantly with Houston Person/Etta Jones, where he refined his skills even more. Settling in New Jersey, he has continued to swing all over the New York metro area, with players like David "Fathead" Newman, Warren Vache and Bill Easley.

"...To Be Free" is Dave's second CD as a leader, but the first to illustrate his arranging and composing skills.
